HP DeskJet 550c InkJet Printer "error clear paper" Questions

error code reads 13.20.00 paper jam top cover...we have opened the machine and removed the paper that was actually jammed but now the machine is clear of any paper and the paper jam message wont clear

error. I had the same problem and just talked with HP technician Neeta and she showed me how to fix it. It's a bit convoluted. In essence you have to clear the print spooler. Here is what she told me.
