The cage mechanism of the cassete is dropping causing it to shut the radio off ,only solution is to remove the radio and open case then jam the cage into the no casette position with a piece of wood or a folded up cardboard ,i think this will cure the problem

I recenly purchased a DV225MG9 A DVD/CD Player with Video Cassette Recorder. After only a few hours of use, the power will not turn on. I now have a VHS cassette that is in the machine and I cannot

1) this a difficult matter since the VHS TAPE is inside.Try to unplugged the EQUIPMENT many times and eject the button for to see if eject the TAPE.
2) put a little of alcohol with a jeringa in switch eject, and try it.
3) if this do not RESOLVE the problem, you take to cut the tape, or dissasembley the section, or go to some repair shop TV for fix it.
Remember unplugged the power cord before to do anything inside of equipment.
You have the option too to call to the supplier and get customer support via online chat for help, or service.

God bless you

Vhs is stuck in machine. Won't play and won't eject.

There are any number of reasons why it won't play. The loading basket is jammed, the video tape has got tangled up in the mechanical section of the vcr or the loading gears are stripped. Unplug machine and remove top, [screws side and back] if the tape is spewed carefully remove by cutting it and clean tape particles, for any other problem have a technician check it out.

New DCR-TRV260 won't play my old tapes

I have the same problem. I just bought a sony handyman and tried to play my old tapes and nothing, not even sound. But I just recorded something using an old tape and it records and I can play that back. I'm thinking maybe over time, somehow all the data on there got erased. Which is really a bummer.

Try entering the make and model number into Search on your Internet browser, along with 'replacement drive belts' and you'll likely get several suppliers if not several pages of suppliers.

I have a tape which I'm anxious to play to convert to a CD, but it just won't play ! It will fast wind both ways but on play just shuts off. (It hasn't been played for a long time) It does...

If you wind the tape by hand (with a pencil or screw driver etc.)is the tape easy to turn or move from one end to the other with out any binds? If not It may be wound unevenly, smacking it down on a flat surface a few times on each side will usually free it up. Hope this helps.

Record Commercial Tape to DVR for personal use

Put tape in. Make sure the plastic tap isn't broke on front of vhs tape, if so, put tape over it.
Put tape and vhs in player, turn vcr channel to 04 I believe. Then hit the copy button. Otherwise put on dvd/ hit copy button
