Having a brand new sony bravia 40 full hd 120 mhz 3 weeks ago. The first time i pluged it to the wall outlet, it remains dead ( no power- no orange led on the front lower side) after plug/unplugged it a couple of time it wakes up.... 2 weeks later i turn it on and there was a message "no signal" i was on hdmi source 1 sat rx i unpluged my hdmi cable from hdmi input 1 and switch it to hdmi input 2 and it solve my problem!!! The day after i'ved tried to power on and nothing appens ( the orange led was on) i unpluged the power cable and wait a few minutes then plugged it back to wall outlet so the tv was dead and no led on the front panel!!! This thing is dead ....

There is a problem with the processor. The only way to resolve this issue is to replace the main board. It is called the A board in your TV.

There are two for this model and the correct one will depend on what your serial number is.

Try this: got to www.sony.com mouse over "support" then click on "drivers/software" enter your model #(s) and then you can check for firmware updates, the symptoms that you list, unfortunently are somewhat common when connected via HDMI cables.
Check for updates on both product that you list.
