I have a 97, it starts, but when it wrams up it starts back firing and has a storong gas smell? idk what way to turn

If you are backfiring you should check your firing order... If you have had your Plugs and wires replaced recently then it may have been installed wrong.. also try changing your fuel filter.. or changing the spark plugs

I took my 1993 chevy truck to a mechanic to change the head seals and i got it back with over heating problems and after a couple days it started eith high iddle i changed the radiator thermostat clutch...

Head seals?? Do you mean head gasket? So it overheats & high idles? It almost sounds like the wrong head gasket was used (its possible) also, if the vehicle overheats, have you looked at the water pump? I would worry about the overheating more than the high idle.

Could you replace a v6 engine with a v8 in a 1993 camaro

Not a problem but you are in for a wiring harness change, computer change out, possible tranny change, drive shaft mods and any other mismatch items including exhaust. You have to want to do this.......

Fast iddle speed when engine is cold.

This is acting normally then...

I guess it really depends on how cold it gets outside as well as how high the RPM's go...
If your RPM's are above 3500 RPM's then I do suspect something is wrong, and further
info is needed...
