Can not locate ambient temparture censor. My Suv cuts out when the weather is hot. Engine has been changed. Do not know year of engine. How do I solve this problem?

I have the same issue in Toledo, Ohio. They shut down the updates a few years ago on New Year's Day, their website said they were discontinuing service, but they reversed course and turned it back on. I'm wondering if 9/1/22 was the new date to cut off service.

if the ambient temp exceeds 40 C 15w 30may be even better still for the hot weather

Jan, I am not familiar with that model, I recommend you return to the shop that changed engine for you and have them find and record the engine # for you.Check the attached links they may help you find engine #. steam is 100% normal, all fuel burns and makes water as a byproduct of combustion,, but on a hot engine is is very invisible. unless
the outdoor ambient conditions are at DEW point. is your?

run fault codes and check for ambient air temperature sensor fault and check gear box for sensor/servo problems

Firstly, if your mechanic cannot locate the camshaft sensor on your GA15DE, then he should NOT be working on your vehicle - chances are, you are payiing extra labour time due to his lack of skill !

Camshaft sensors are generally located 'inside' the distributor cap, or just outside it. Some Nissan engines had the location moved from the side of the engine, to the top.

I strongly recommend you choose a mechanic who understands your engine (i.e. authorised Nissan mechanic) who will get the job done quicker.

check the ambient temperature swutch, wirings may cut or the sensor itself, located at the engine compartment, right side

you have 2 sensors 1 goes to the computer and one to the gauge at the part store tell them you need the gauge sensor not pcm sensor.
