2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab Laramie Logo

2007 Dodge Ram 2500, Took it in to the Dodge Dealership for a diagnostic this is what it said Engine light is on and the abs and brake lights. Also the Speed odometer is not working. Diagnose only caused by found DTC B2213 for instrument cluster internal U0121 Lost Comm. With Abs Module Cleared DTC'S U0121 Came back active. Tried to initilize abs module, But it did not correct the concern. ABS Module had Internal Failure. May have problem with instrument Cluster. They told me to replace the ABS MODULE and than if that did not solve the problem than to replace the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. I ordered the ABS Module and replaced that first didnt change anything so I ordered the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER next and replaced that IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. So needless to say $900 later, have to fight with the Dodge dealership for a credit on parts I do not need and still have the problem and nobody knows what the **ll is wrong. HELP PLEASE! The truck has also for no apparent reason just quit on me 3 times while driving. I have had to put it in N while coasting and start it back up. It has never did this to me until after the lights came on.???? The issue started after I plugged in a new trailer to test the trailer brakes. The trailer is all rewired and working.

Hi! We had this exact same problem. It turned out to be a fuse that was marked "spare". We thought that meant spare fuse, but actually it meant a spare slot (which is now being used). We had also hooked up our trailer to test the brake lights...

Check all the "spare" fuses in the fusebox. replace any that are empty with the proper grade fuse. If it pushes in like it's connecting, that may very well be your problem. If it just slides in and out, the slot is unused, and therefore, "spare".

SOURCE: 97 Dodge Caravan Auto-Shutdown Problem

Been working on my dad's 97 Caravan longer then i can remember for things you mentioned and have been not able to get him to sell it.
I found that the electrical connections are prone to corrosion and have replaced lots of the wire and pin connection in the wire harness, thank god i have time on my hands.
The instrument panel where the wire harness connects, i found that the solder goes bad and i had to re solder the connector on the back side of the circuit board, where the harness goes so you need to remove the instrument panel from the dash,
Here is a link that can help you retrieve DTC codes and do research on your caravan. I'ld tell you everything what i needed to do to keep my dad's caravan running but that would be a novel. http://www.allpar.com/fix/stall.html

Good luck and keep me posted, glad to help you keep yours running too.

SOURCE: 2007 Dodge Ram 2500,Engine light is on and the abs

There are two sensors that can cause this. One is located on top of the rear axle pumpkin, and the other is either on or inside the trans.

I would check the rear axle one first as it should be the cheaper and easier of the two.

Abslight stays on. How to fix? This is a2007trailblazer?

First you need to have EBCM - electronic brake control module check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . If the light is on there is a code stored . I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.
DTC C0035 or C0040
DTC C0045 or C0050
DTC C0110
DTC C0131
DTC C0161
DTC C0186
DTC C0196
DTC C0201
DTC C0240
DTC C0241 or P0856
DTC C0244 or P1689
DTC C0245
DTC C0283
DTC C0287
DTC C0290 or C0292
DTC C0455
DTC C0550
DTC C0558

Find the code do the diagnostic's , fix the problem , wiring issue's , a sensor , bad module ,what ever it is . The light will go out then . Here is a sample of code discription .
• DTC C0035 Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit
• DTC C0040 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit

I Have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500.Both the ABS and Brake Lights are on

Hi!!

Did you have the ABS sensors checked ?? The brake fluid level when low also activates the Brake and ABS lights?? Drive truck to an AutoZone store and ask to have computer codes scanned. This is a free service for all customers. This will help you to pinpoint the problem.

Good Luck!!

Does the speedometer work? Out might have a bad speed sensor in the rear axle. Did you have it scanned for codes?

Abs light, brake light, engine light stay on but do not flash

Well, that sucks, for sure. The only commonality I can see between the engine, abs, brake light and speedometer is possibly a bad vehicle speed sensor. But when you throw in the codes for lost comm and cluster error, that muddied the water a bit. I am sure that there are separate fuses for the trailer wiring harness (my 04 chevy has separate fuses, surely an 09 dodge does) so I doubt trailer wiring could have done all this. A lost comm could be caused by a blown fuse. I would inspect every single fuse I could find in the entire vehicle, also, I have researched your problem a bit and have found a couple possible fixes. One is that the abs sensor on the rear differential is known to be sketchy and needs to be changed. The other is cleaning any ground cables that are connected to the fuse box on the front left fender. I hope this helps!

2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Brake & ABS lights stay on

I would still be suspect of the ABS module. Had the same thing happen on an 01 Tahoe.

Search the web for an ABS repair facility located in Russia, IA. They repair the module for $150.00 and give a 5 year warranty, which you can't get from the factory.
And, their website has troubleshooting guides to help you determine if for certain the module is bad or has a probelm.

You can remove the module and continue to drive the vehicle. Their turn around is as they state, and once I had them make the repiars, my Tahoe has been up and running great!
