My AllData software indicates that P1259 is a VTEC [variable valve timing] system malfunction code, not an immobilzer [anti-theft] code.

My 1998 honda accord check engine light Is on. And there are two p codes 1259 and 1456. how to fix?

Fuel filler cap is loose. 1456

Tighten *at least SIX* clicks. Wait three engine on-off cycles. Light
should go off.

If it does not go off, the cap may not fit tightly enough for a proper
seal. Replace cap. Occasionally, the threads in the filler necks can be
damaged, preventing the cap from being properly tightened.

Code is P 1259 When you are driving the RPM's go

Is this a stander transmission, if so could be your transmission clutch slipping, could be worn. have it check out, you know as i do, that high rpm's will damage your engine.

ODB2 CODE 1259 2002 HONDA ACCORD

I believe this is a code the VTech engines will set if a oil solenoid valve doesn't open in the cylinder head to provide extra oiling when the engine RPM's exceed 4k. The best I recall the valve in the head is usually faulty if this code is present.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH CODE 1259

Code 1259 is vtec system malfunction, in other words, it's a variable valve timing and lift electronic control. It's honda's system used to control the rate of engine valves to open and close. Need to take it to a shop or dealer to have that checked out.

Code 1259 what does it mean?

the p1259 code in the Honda's is a manufactures specific code for the fuel metering system, also known as the heated O2 sensor. if this is a 4 cylinder it will be the sensors after the catalytic converter, however with either engine DO NOT just start replacing the sensors without having them checked, there is a lot of small things in the system that can cause this code such as a blown fuse, damaged wires, etc. the sensors are expensive so have it checked and verified first.

98 Honda Accord LX CODE 1259

Code 1259 indicates a V-tec system malfuntion assuming your Honda isn't a DX? Disconnect the negative battery cable so that you can clear the code. If code returns, try cleaning and/or replacing the V-tec pressure sensor. I heard of someone that had the same 4000 rpm problem you speak of and this is where they solved their problem. Good luck to you.

2001 honda civic obd code

reset the ecu pull #6 fuse 15a for 10 msec. check oil level fill if needed. start engine hold at 3 grand for at least 2 sec road test if still comes back 1259 repeat 2 times. If it is gone it is intermit problem check for loose terminals at VTEC solenoid vavle oil pressure switch and the ECM/PCM. If you still have the code turn ignition off remove resonator disconnect the VTEC oil pressure switch 2p connector check for contnuity between VTEC oilpress switch terminals 1 and 2 if none replace the oil pressure switch. if yes measure voltage between ECM/PCM connector B9 and body ground. Voltage? repair open wire between B9 and the oil pressure switch. If no than the ECM/PCM will need to be checked for the latest software and reprogrammed to be further diaged. This will only be able to bedone at the dealer.
