1995 truck will only go in drive when the truck is started in neutral not in drive. When started and the truck is in park and you try to put it in drive , it will not shift to drive. Then when you turn it off and move it to neutral and then turn it back on, you move it to drive and it will work. Anybody know why????

This could be so many things. Bad battery connection, starter starting to go, fuel pump starting to go, relay/fuse broken. I would start with your battery and connections.
It osunds like the shift interlock solenoid is not unlocking when you step on the brake, do you hear a click nosie?
Try the emergency bypass. turn key to OFF, step on brake, shift out of park into neutral. Then start car and drive away. do not put back in park until you get to destination. Or you will have to shut off, turn key to OFF, and apply brake, and shift to neutral again.
report back. check all fuses. see chart in owner manaul
My 95 did the same thing and it ended up being the Transfer case itself there was a missing tooth on a gear inside there.Jack the vehicle up and put it on stands remove the front drive line then spin each of the front tires if you don't hear any noise there then start working your way to the T-case,block the rear wheels very good and set the parking break put the vehicle in neutral and try to spin the output flange to the front axle listen for noises,if still nothing put the rear up on stands also and put it in 4wheel drive and trans in neutral spin rear drive line by hand and listen hopefully that helps to get you started in the right direction
