Bought this Ford and it ran fine. Had no horn, bought one and placed it on there. Did not even hook it up, but cranked up the truck and spitter sputter, shaking and then died? I assumed it may have been the CAM sensor, so I bought one from Auto Zone and replaced it. Changed nothing. Anything else to check? I cannot get anyone to help until this weekend and I have to move cattle tomorrow.
Thanks, Ben

I'm assuming that this is an intermitent fault; are you make an scanning fault codes? Several items here, O2 sensors, camshaft, MAF/MAP, IAC, fuel pressure, bad injector, etc.
This is the firts step, check the OBD codes for knowed exactly what fault is there.
Tell us news.

Pull the EGR and make sure it's not stuck open. If it is, install a EGR elimination kit. Usually about $150 and requires pulling the intake off. This engine has a real bad rap for head gaskets, and EGR problems. If you pull the engine and install head gasket studs and EGR elimination. then you supposedly have a "bullet proof" 6.0L. but be prepared to dip in your wallet a LOT. Best to sell the thing and get a real diesel CUMMINS.
