I have a 2000 sportage. The heater fan does not

I have a 2000 sportage. The heater fan does not come on. I checked the fuse is ok. The ac light comes on when turned on but no fan. Could this be the blower motor? and how do I change it? Thanks Chuck

It may be the blower motor, or it may be the blower resistor. Check for power at the blower motor. If power present with system on and blower has good ground, motor bad. If no power check blower resistor in air box prior to blower motor. If power on input side but nothing coming out to blower change resistor.

My heater fan will not come on, fuse is ok and all the lights come on the dash

May just be a blower motor. If you can access the motor, turn the heater on high ang check for power at the motor. If there is power, it is the motor that is the problem. If there is no power at the motor, you will need to check the fuses If they are ok, it will be a wiring problem.

Fan works intermittently, fuses ok

Check and see if you have power to the blower motor regulator. It is located behind the glove box.

Ac blower motor

Check fuse supplying fan is not blown,
Check blower control switch is operating OK,
Check relay controlling fan is operating OK,
Check variable speed resistor pack is not faulty (the resistor pack is usually located in the blower ducting, in the blower airflow),
Check blower motor ground connection is not missing.

Check engine light comes on when heater or fan is used 2000 Kia

sounds like a blockage to the heater matrix ,not a job for us enthusiasts, might involve front dash removal to accses it.although an engine reverse flush could do the trick.

Fan quit on 87 celebrity, heat ac, etc.. fuse ok ????

Hi
Check for bad connection at heater resistor or try tapping heater motor lightly
with ignition switch on and heater switch on. Could be heater switch connection.
