My 1994 isuzu rodeo seem to be losing power it start when my gas cap got stolen. I drove it for about 2 day with out a gas cap then it start to act as if was losing power.

Fuel is what lubs the pump you might have burn it cranking it without gas if no fuel n you keep cranking it it will burn its inside the tank

If you are saying the blower does not work, someone would need to check the fuse then the blower motor for power.

check the fan belts, they are manually tightened on the rodeos.

check your vacumm lines for a leak the black smoke seems like it running rich

The cheapest troubleshooting recomended: change filter and fluid. I use mobil synthetic.

1st check your breather pipe on the fuel tank as it could be blocked and not breathing air into tank
This will happen after filling up with fuel and untill you haved used about 1to 2 gallons.
Other wise check fuel pump for either slight air leak or filter blockage...

I had the same problem and read on several foruns that the FUEL PUMP is behind the rear passenger side tire, Usually its the wiring not the pump, and in my situation it was the MAP sensor.
Acted like it was not getting gas but was, changed the sensor and it was running again.

I'm having same problem on my 2000 model rodeo 4wd 3.2L V6. Other day check engine light came on. I checked engine bay nothing abnormal, or power loss. Next day light was gone. 2 days later driving, a sudden loss of power and light came up. After idling for a couple of minutes, drove off with light still on but all power back. 1 hour later of faultless driving loss of power for a minute or so. Engine temp normal. Had break for 1/2 hour and set off for last hour of journey without fault except check engine light still on. Following dayon startup light went out???
