Question about 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT Convertible
I have a 2001 eclipse spyder gt, and when it rains, water will pour into the passenger side of the car, and leave puddles of water both in the front and back. i dont know much about cars, but heard that this occurs when the AC drain is clogged. does anyone know if this is true, and where the drain is so i can fix it?

SOURCE: mitsubishi eclipse convertiable timing belt change?
Typical timing belt intervals are every 60k miles. It's a very involved service to do the whole job - timing belt, timing belt tensioner, serpentine or accessory belts, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, all fluids, all filters, brake and suspension inspection, and tire rotation. On many cars it's recommended to change the oxygen sensors as well. Quite a bit of this can be done when you want, but the first five items are critical and should all be done. And regardless of whether your manufacturer says the coolant is "lifetime", replace it - don't reuse coolant. It's cheap and it's good practice to use new coolant.

SOURCE: water leak on fwd passenger side after every rain storm
If your car has a sunroof, there are drains from the front corners of the sunroof, and they drain down the sides of the windshield pillars, and then empty out on the ground.
What I would do is open the surnroof, and pour water into the front corners, and then oobserve where the water drains out. If you have a difference in water drainage between the left and the right sides, I would think that you may have loose sunroof drain. They commonly come loose at the sunroof corners. This will allow the water to pass down the windshield pillar, and onto the floor.
Also, I would check the condensate drain tube for blockage. Pull back the carpet, under the glove box, and fins a black hose that pokes thru the firewall. Pull it out, and see if it is blocked internally. If this tube is clogged, water will build up in the heater box, as the black tube is the drain for the heater box.
One of the two above solutions will cure your problem. I see both quite often.
