I own a 2003 mitsubishi spyder eclipse GT and my alarm fob broke off its key chain so I havent been using it lately (waiting for replacement). Today I went to use my car (unlocked and opened the door with the key) and the alarm activated. The car still starts but I have to wait till the alarm gos through its cycle before I drive anywhere (embarassment of course). How do I disengauge the alarm system till I get the new fob?

I have a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse, the original wire already have been cut frombefore, but now i am trying to install a different after market pioneer reciever, how do i connect the speaker wires?

The MPI relay is usually in the center console behind the radio. The ECU controls the relay, in conjunction with the ignition switch setting. Sometimes the relay wires inside the MPI can come off. Removing the MPI relay cover is quite difficult.

[ cant find my furl pump relay on my 2000 mistubishi eclipse gs 2.4 motor do you have a diagram of its location

If there is power at the fuel pump on the green wire than the relay is working as it supplies power to the fuel pump.

Check the the black wire to make sure it is grounded.

check continuity of the fuel pump my measuring the resistance of between the pins the t the green and black wires go to. If there open you have a defective pump. If you see less that 1.0 ohms the pump is likely good. If you see more than 100 ohms the pump is bad.

I have been been burned more than once by bad fuel pump modules right out of the box. I know check to make sure the fuel pump itself is plugged in and I always check continuity of all the connections.

Is there a cheat to install a fuel pump?

Check under the rear seats to find access to the fuel pump. Check for power at the pump before you start taking it out.
GDI means gasoline direct injection.

Go to ALLDATA DIY. Get a 1 yr subscription 16.00 It will show you how to acess it and the wire harness and diagrams that would be very helpful. Plus any other issues you may come across. This is what the pros use.
