Backed out of the garage, caught the mirror and broke it off. Found a replacement but not sure hot to detach/re-attach the manual mechanism on the replacement mirror. Where can I find step by step instructions please?
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can remove the cover adjacent to the mirror and remove the bolts and the mirror will pop right out

Thank you for the quick response, but I think you might have misunderstood. The mirror is already off, and the two whitish cords that attach to the lever inside the cockpit pass through a plastic sleeve and are keeping the mirror assembly hanging on the outside of the drivers door. Those pass into the mirror itself and using the lever inside, rotate the mirror for best viewing. It is those two cords I need to remove from the broken mirror and attach to the replacement. The mirror is a solid piece of plastic so I assume the cords must come off from inside the mirror assembly, but how is the question. Removing the door panel does not seem to be the right answer here.
