There are a number of things it can be. Full wheel hubcaps can click or get rocks in them. Stones in the tires or a nail. An out of round brake rotor (does the car vibrate when braking?). The rear emergency brakes are not self cleaning and build up debris.

If you have someone to gently rev the engine while in PARK, to about the speed of 20mph, you can hear if it is an engine noise. Or if you can coast at 20 to 30 mph with the engine in NEUTRAL, you can tell if it is a rolling noise or something in the powertrain. Have the window down to get maximum effect.

You have several things to check now. Let us know what you find.

Rear end howls and vibrates, most noticeable at 50-65 mph. Noise only depends upon vehicle speed, does not change with gear or if in neutral.

Sounds liike a ring and pinion on rear differential. U can pull the cover off and check this or another thing would be to check your u-joints.

the whinning noise is definalty a signiture of the bearing, and they do on occasion start making the noise long before other systoms of a bad bearing appear. There is really nothing else in the suspension that moves in a manner to cause the whinning pitched sound, other than the axel, but there signature has allways been a clicking around turns, so id definatly look cloesr at the bearings......good luck

Clicking noise on 2006 Nissan Pathfinder between 20 and 60 mph

If u have hub caps remove them and see if the noise goes away.. Sometimes the hub caps aren't tight enough to the rim and move a little causing the clicking.

Deceleration whining/humming noise

I would tell the dealer you want your rear differential opened up, checked, and more fluid added. There really is no test they can do other than to pop the cover off the differential.
