SOURCE: 2001 Honda Odyssey Transmission Problem

The Odyssey has notorious bad transmissions from 2000-2003. You will not get anything on a trade, the trans can be fixed for about $2k. If everything else on the van still works and you like it, figure you bought it again for $2k. I changen my wife's Odyssey trans at 175K miles for $2k and she is happy so therefore I am happy too :-)

SOURCE: Changing 2001 Honda Odyssey clock back light

Yes, the clock back light can be changed but unfortunately you have to remove the entire instrument cluster to do it. This can be done yourself. First order the clock light bulb from Honda (not expensive). Then get a Haynes Repair manual from an auto parts store (<$20) and a trim panel removal tool. Follow the procedures for removing the instrument cluster trim panels in chapters 11 and 12. Take your time and be patient with the panels to avoid breaking off attachment hooks and clips. The most difficult part of the job is getting the steering column trim covers off.

SOURCE: 2001 honda odyssey...what does green

that green key is the immobilizer system indicator. It comes on for a few seconds when you turn the key to ON. It will then go off if you have inserted a properly coded key. If the key isn't coded properly, the green key indicator will flash and the engine won't start. The indicator also blinks several times when you turn the key from ON to Acc or Lock. This is normal. (From owner's manual under "Indicator Lights")

SOURCE: Honda Odyssey won't start - flashing dashboard lights

Try a jumpstart. Can you honk the horn or use any electronics in ACC mode?

SOURCE: SRS light is on - what does that mean?

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

Hi i have a 2000 Honda Odyssey Prestige v6 and the manual that i got with the van is all in Asian does anyone know where i can get an english manual please my SRS light has come on Thank You

Try a honda dealer. SRS = Safety Restraint System. (Air Bags). Or head down to your local Autoparts store and look for a repair manual.

The srs light came on after battery when dead on 2001 honda odyssey van

umm.. if your srs (safety restraint system) light is on that means that either an airbag, seatbelt, or some other (possibly serious) thing is broken in the system. The only way that i know to reset it is to fix the problem, whether it be a simple switch in a seat belt or complicated fix like fixing an airbag deployment system.

Srs light on in 1996 Honda odyssey. I have read that i can erase codes by using the MES connector and a service tool. I have also read that anytime you work on the airbag system you must disable it first....

If you don't fix the underlying problem, the SRS light will just come back on right away. There is no way to bypass this. Fix it or live with the light. Erasing the code and not fixing won't help at all

When srs light on what does it mean?

SRS is for suplemental restraint system, or air bags. You have an error detected by the computer. You need to get it hooked up to a scanner to see what the issue is.

SRS dash light has come on and stays on , honda odyssey 2000 model, hope someone can help me !! Cheers Emma

SRS stands for supplemental restraint system (airbags). Have your car hooked up to a diagnostic computer at a dealer or good repair shop. They will tell you if your problem is with the warning system or the restraint system itself. Do not ignore this warning. And good luck with it.
