When starting the 2004 Pacifica the evic system

When starting the 2004 Pacifica the evic system chimes but the display on the dashboard does not light up preventing the ability accurately set commands or view warnings. The only light which as appears is the low tire pressure symbol. Is this an easy fix? There seems to be very little information on the Electronic Vehicle Information Centre.

2004 town and country evic doesn't display reset tire sensors

You have probably found that if you drive for a few miles it will reset itself. If not there is a battery inside each unit in the tire and they go out. You can get a complete unit at the parts store for about 24 dollars and take it to Walmart and they will install it for 10 dollars2_25_2013_7_34_31_pm.jpg

How do you turn off the maintenance/service light in the pacifica?

on some of the vehicles, you turn the ignition key on, but do not start the engine, then press the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 10 seconds, do this pretty fast, then turn key off, then turn key back on again , but do not start, look and see if the maintenance / service light has went out.

2004 EVIC display on the instrument panel is dark

On the left control arm (sticking out of the steering column, (turn signal lever)), there is a bulky switch. it should be on top +/-. As you turn it the lights will get brighter or dimmer depending on the direction you are turning. (Once it reaches the end of the rotation, the interior lights come on. Remember not to leave the interior lights on!). There is a similar swithc on the right lever that operates the rear window wiper.
