Plugged an inverter into one and 3 are now not working.
If you are referring to the fuse box locations for the 2008 - 2009 Taurus X. Then the fuses that control the "power points" DC outlets, are located under the hood fuse #'s 13,14,15 and 16 all are 20A fuses. Fuse #10 under the hood is a 30A fuse used for the starter. I just replaced mine now, #13 and now my Power point on my instrument panel is now working again after the fuse blew from using an inverter there.
Look @ utube
SOURCE: cigarette lighter fuse location
The cigarette fuse is located in the battery junction box under the hood, it is fuse # 10 and is a 20A fuse, open the hood and find the box it is on the passenger side towards the back of the compartment, it is 10th in line on the top row, also you can check these fuses without removing them through the clear plastic top so that should make things a little easier too, hope this helps

Look in your manual for the Power Distribution Box reference in Roadside Emergencies. It should be located under the hood on the driver's side. My 2002 Explorer has two power points on the center console and the 20A fuses in the Power Distribution Box for them are number 7 and number 9. They cost $3.99 each at AutoZone. The cigar lighter fuse under the dash is unrelated.
SOURCE: ford expedition cigarette fuse, where is it?
no there is only one fuse and its usually listed under the acc . on the panel most fuse panels are either in the glove box or on the drivers side dash as you open the door or under the dash and some are located under the hood one of these areas is where you will find the panel

Cigarette lighter and electric plug do not work in 2007 Caliber after use of Magellan GPS - put in a new fuse - still doesn't work. Would anyone have a suggestion as to how to repair this problem? Thank you
You can get a .pdf version of the 2001 Ford Taurus Owner's Manual at: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerGuidePage&year=2001&make=Ford&model=Taurus
It has instructions and guides for finding and replacing the fuses in a 2001 Ford Taurus. It starts on page 146-147.
Always use the specific Owner's Manual for the correct Model Year of a Ford or Mercury vehicle. I recently purchased a 2001 Ford Taurus, and had thought that I could use the Owner's Manual from a 1999 Mercury Sable from a friend. BUT, I figured out that each model year can be very different (before any serious damage happened.) Good luck.
