Have a 1992 honda accord ex.the digital clock quit working while being driven. all other electronics are working. checked all fuses and none are blown.
the clock was working perfectly. as I drove down the road I noticed that the clock hour display had lost 1 hour. instead of reading the actual time of 2:30pm it now read 1:30pm. I re-set the clock to the correct time and when I looked at the clock about 2 minutes later the display was completely blank. I checked all the fuses both under the dash and under the hood and none are blown.the clock was working perfectly. as I drove down the road I noticed that the clock hour display had lost 1 hour. instead of reading the actual time of 2:30pm it now read 1:30pm. I have right now the same problem. I just pulled the fancy/shmancy radio head out of my (Honda) 1992 Acura Integra and the whole dash is now a mess. It had been professionally installed. The dome light now doesn't work, the "door open" warning lights stay on, the clock is messed up, etc. I installed the fancy head in another car, in a 1992 Honda Civic. That works perfectly. Sounds like you need to find a professional installer to re-do your new head. I think the dash lights and the taillights are on the same circuit/fuse.
You must go through your local honda dealer, (usually parts department) give them the numbers off the labels on the radio, along with the VIN number of the car. may have to prove ownership. They can call Honda and get that information for you. Process is alot easier if you someone that works in the parts department, if not the honda parts department, then another parts department at another car dealer.
Just replaced bulb on my 2002 Accord EX. Simple to do.
1. Lift up the trim piece around clock; just slide a putty knife under and lift.
2. Take out assembly and look on underside for small gray bulb base ( about 3/16 dia.). It helps if you have the new one to compare.
3. Use small blade screwdriver in slot and rotate counterclockwise to remove. You may have to shake it to get out.
4. Examine the new bulb to find the slots that DO NOT have wires. Put bulb into socket and rotate clockwise with screwdriver in proper slot.
That's it; you now are there.
My 92 does the same thing. I beleive its in the ignition. I had to replace the distributor twice. Honda thru 95 had weak distributors also the fuel pump and injectors are getting weak.
