89 Toyota truck-22re. Used Gunk cleaner, engine now runs terrible. It starts and idles. But, give it gas, it almost dies. Very even loop of 2 seconds smooth accelerate then almost dies for 1 second.

check all spark plugs and wires also check mass air flow senser located on intake tube if all is still in good working condition check the throttle position sensor if that is good then it may be your fuel pump please update when possable.

HI! The other thing that controls the fuel is the PCM (powertrain control module). The PCM is like the car's brain that when it fails everything else's fail. The PCM has connectivity on all electrical current that runs inside the car including the engine and transmission. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
