How do I move the middle seatbelt when I fold the seat down?

When I fold the 60% rear seat down, the middle seatbelt is in the way for the large item I want to put there. How do I get it out of the way?

You may not be able to...just hope the belt extends as you put the large item in, that is what we do in our car. Doesn't harm it if it is not abrading it.

Testimonial: "Thanks, It does extend out pretty far. We were just hoping there was some other way to get it completely out of the way."

Rear middle seatbelt won't pull out in holden astra after I have folded down the seat , so can't return seat to correct position . How do I fix?

I agree with the above comments. I just had this same problem. Holden (Australia) quoted me AU$650 to fix it. I bought a T50 torx bit (like an Allen key)from supercheap auto for $11.
raise the seat back up as much as you can (I could only raise mine about 20 inches). Wriggle your hand in and find the bottom bolt of the seat belt clip (this will be the seatbelt clip for the side seatbelt) and start undoing it. It isn't hard, just fiddly considering you probably won't be able to see what you are doing. Once undone, you will be able to raise the seat.
I was still unable to loosen my middle seatbelt immediately. I came back to it a while later and it had freed up.
Simply a matter of then bolting it back in place. It was so easy - and I'm just a middle aged woman with no handyman/car skills whatsoever!

My back seat middle seatbelt is locked and the seat is folded down. how do i unlock the seatbelt to raise the seat back upright

That just happened to our 05 equinox. We have car seats so one of the seats was reclined just a bit. This will cause the seatbelt to lock. We took out the car seat, folded down the other seat and folded it back. It cause the locked seat to release and unfold.

Rear seat down and wont go back up; locked middle belt

middle seat belt shouldn't have anything to do with it. The seat locks down for stowage in the rear cargo area. you can pull the release handle on the back of the seat to release it back into the up position.

Saturn vue 2007, rear folding seat will not return to proper position due to seat belt being locked up.

They have a problem with the seatbelt retractor getting jammed up causing the belt to jam & not let the rear seat fold back up.The easiest way to get the seat back up is to cut the seatbelt & fold up the seat. Then the rear seat needs to be disassembled to gain access to the seatbelt retractor assy which has the seat belt made on.Hopefully it's still under warranty or Ext. warranty.hope this helps

Just got an 2002 Chrysler Voyager. I can fold down the rear bench seat using the black lever on it but can't find a lever, or other release device to fold down the middle bench seat. How can this seat be...

i dont think they were meant to fold down but you should be able to take them out to haul bigger items. some of the vans they make are made that way so that you have to remove the seats rather than fold them down

Rear seat won't fold down (60 part of 60/40 seat)

I had the same problem on my '03. The seats would not fold down using the latch release as I had always done. So I tried a combination of pulling up on the side latch AND the top latch and the seat folded down. It really doesn't FIX the problem but circumvents offending  defective part. I will use this method until it doesn't work then I might shell out the $$$$$ to the dealer.
