  • Insert the square tip of a 1/2-inch socket wrench into the square hole in the center of the serpentine belt's adjustment pulley. The adjustment pulley is the smallest pulley the belt wraps around.

1992 CROWN VICTORIA LX I REPLACED FUSES INSIDE AND UNDER HOOD FOR AIR RIDE SUSPENSION AND IT STILL WON'T AIR UP. PLEASE HELP

Air ride suspension basically works like this. you have a small air compressor and a sensor that connects between the rear axle and the under body Frame. When this sensor detects a load movement like more or less weight it turns on the air compressor to air up or opens a exhaust valve to let air out. most common problems with this system. broken or disconnected sensor. leak in the air lines between compressor and shocks. or a bad or weak compressor.

What belt can be installed on a 2000 ford taurus ses to by pas the ac compressor?

remove the Air compressor...take a piece of string and route it thru the pulleys then take string to auto parts store and have them measure it with their belt tool. they can match it up for you and get you a belt that will bypass the ac compressor.

Hello: Thanks for your advice on a 1999 Ford Expedition fuse location for the air suspension. Compressor has been making noise, going on too long and having general difficulty blowing the 50 amp fuse. ...

Hi,
I have an alternate suggestion. I've had several Ford Products with those compressors in the. A 1990 and 1994 Continental with complete Air Suspension systems in the. And several Lincoln Town cars with air suspension systems for the rear wheels. Most of the time when these vehicles go to the grave yard, the compressors have out-lived them. I would go to the Junk yard and get one for a song and take to a local garage (not the dealer) and have it installed. You may even be able to do it yourself.
I have seen no variation in the design of the ones I've seen except for the air manifold. I would get one that was used in an Lincoln Town Car because it was used for leveling the rear suspension.
The air manifold in it would be very similar, if not identical, to your vehicle.
After all, The only thing an Air compressor "sees" is air.
I hope this suggestion is helpful to you.
Happy New Year,
Mark

Back end of my 2001 Ford Expedition FWD, Eddie Bauer, was dragging. Had diagnostic test run and found out it needed a new air ride compressor. Had compressor installed, but compressor continues to run...

The compressor should only run until the rear suspension reaches the desired height. If it continues to run after the suspension has raised to ride height then you may have a leaking air bag/solenoid or line. If you dont have any leaks it is possible the EVO(air suspension module} or relay is at fault.

The suspention on our 97 ford expedtion is not lifting i understand that there is a release button under the hood where is it located also i heard that i can put air in the suspention where?

There is not a place to install air pressure,There is a reset switch under the passenger side kick panel.Turn the switch off and on ,If no response you may have a faulty compressor, air compressor relay. If in doubt have a mechanic diagnose your issue before you replace any parts.
