I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD. I removed the dash to replace the blend door in the HVAC assembly. I got the blend door replaced and when I put it back together the overhead console and the center electronic information center does not work. I have two black connectors I could not remember where they hooked up at and believe this is the reason why the overhead console and electronic information console are not working. Attached are the 2 connectors. I need to know where they connect to under, around, or behind the dash board. E-mail all responses to [email protected]
Your vehicle has 2 ignition wires that you can put back to factory, and start the vehicle.
The wires you are looking to put back together are (blue) and (black/orange) - and found under the D/S dash. (ignition harness) They will be larger in Diameter than the others.
They were cut to install the security system. They go into the "brain" and out the other side. A relay inside the BRAIN is most likely failing.
If you no longer want the alarm installed, simply match up all of the factory colors. Use crimp-on ****-connectors for secure connection.

This happened to mine. There is a black box under your dash that controls your wipers have you replaced that first? I tore down my steering column replaced the wiring swirch andall it was is that black box under my dash... If it is the wiring switsh you have to get a sterring wheel puller it makes it easy. Take it all apart you will see the wirer running from the wiper switch down to the dash unplug them on both sides and pull it thru your steering column. get a new one or go to junk yard much cheaper than 80 dollars at advance auto. And put it back together the way you took it apart. There are lots of screws so dont loose them.. Hopeful this will help you but like i said check that black box under your dash first it is a easy fix if thats your problem.
