Maintenance required went yellow now srs light stays on longer.... one whut does the srs light mean..... and immediate problems that could cause the maintenance required light to go yellow all fluids are good and full... and check engine light is not on
Your SRS light is related to your "airbag system". You need to have it repaired because you have no airbags while that light is on.
Here's a quick check list
for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.
Dirty contacts on driver
and passenger seat belt buckles
Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors
(under seats)
Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight
sensors (under seat)
Seat covers
Weight on passenger seat
(Example:
grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)
I
recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC
electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.
I DO NOT
recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).
Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce
the problem.

What is it, you ask? The
Supplemental Restraint System (or SRS) is the system that controls your
airbags. Unfortunately, there are MANY things that trigger this
annoying light, and making it go away can cause plenty of headaches.
Things that can cause the SRS light to turn on include:
To fix this problem, some have gone to the dealership to have the
SRS computer reset. Unfortunately, this costs somewhere around $70.00.
Another option is to invest in a DRBII or MUTTII, which is what
dealerships often use to diagnose and reset many of the car’s systems.
