Replaced everything(starter, celenoid, battery and alternator) and the car still doesn't start. Sidenote....first time connecting starter to battery, smoke and a little melting of cables, fixed wires and did again. This time nothing. Did we burn the starter cable?

First turn the engine over by hand to make sure it is not seized. Then get a voltmeter and attach the negative to ground on the battery and the positive on the battery. Try to crank the engine and watch the voltage. Should be no less than 9 volts. Now move the positive lead on the volt meter to the big cable on the starter. Try to crank again. Voltage should be close to the voltage at the battery. If the voltage is good ground the positive lead on the volt meter to ground. Try and crank again. If voltage reads over 1 volt replace ground cable. If voltage is good replace the starter again

SOURCE: 2004 ford focus se replaced alternator

Sounds to me that your battery has shorted out and will not take a charge.Disconnect the battery and try to charge it, then check to see if it has taken power with a volt meter. A shorted battery will take all the power from the alternator and run it to ground leaving no power to run the car. Also check the alternator output with a volt meter after you have checked the battery as a shorted battery can burn out the alternator.

My car will not start. The battery is new and has a full charge and turns everything on when I turn the key but when I try to start it, it will not do anything not even clicking noise.

if the battery is good it is NOT the alternator. the alternator charges the battery, if it won`t start with a new battery the alternator does nothing to affect the situation. check voltages at the starter motor connections for proper voltages even the wires that the ignition switch supplies power to. if you have proper voltages at the starter you can try hitting the starter while someone tries to start the car. if it starts the starter is worn internally and will have to be replaced.

Battery doesn't charge

It doesn't affect the charging. Have your alternator tested. If it is good, check connections between alternator and battery, and check all fuses.

Car wont start, seems like battery went dead

If the car doesn't start with a jump you might have a bad alternator. The alternator supplies voltage to the car once the engine is running. If the battery is dead, and the alternator isn't putting out sufficient voltage, the engine cannot run. Then again sometimes a car with an extremely dead or internally shorted battery WON'T start with a jump. Replace the battery and try again.

I have a 2007 Honda Rubicon ATV. When I press the

NO it sounds like a battery isent realy good ,or the battery term Poss/Neg are dirty so ,open the bonnet and get someone to turn the key to start and you put your hands on the battery terms Poss/Neg and if 1 or both are warm or hot there dirty or the battery isent any good as it has to be at least 11.7 volts to turn over slowly ahd the battery at 11.7 isent any good so replace it
or try jumping from another car and if it starts straight away then battery.

Son has a 2005 Nisssan Altima and Hear clicking sound.

Most likely the alternator, chech for loose connections at the alternator first, if you have access to a voltmeter you can easily check this.Get the car started and place the leads to the battery terminals,if the alternator is good you should get about 14.8 v at idle and it will go as high as 15.5v to 16v as you rev the engine up.Anything between 12v and 14v at idle indicates a weak or not operating alternator. If you get a good reading run it for a bit and then see if it will start again,if it wont start check the battery cables(especially the negative) for corrosion or loose connections, look for cuts or tears in the insulation or a bulge in the cable wich will indicate corrosion under the insulation. If everything else checks out good and it still won't start then you'll need to look towards the starter.
