Yes, and thanks for the response. Just went through all fuses and they all check out.

Well often times when people say the fuses are ok, they mean the fuses are not blown, but don't know if they have power in the circuits. If the fuses have power, then the problem could be in the wiring before the components. Its just odd that two different circuits would go dead after the fuses.

SOURCE: Repair Manual for Kia Sportage.

I just purchaced a 2000 Sportage and am having the same problem. I did find that Autozone.com has a free online manual that you can view and print sections from. I would rather have a book at my side when I repair my car, but until somebody comes up with one we are stuck with the online services.

SOURCE: removing/replacing a 2000 kia sportage 4x4 4 dr heater core

The heater is located under the dash board to the right and down from the radio. To remove and replace it you will have to remove the dash board down to the fire wall. Also, you will have to disconnect two hoses that connect up to it from the engine compartment. These are located in the back of the engine and down on the firewall about midway. Once you remove the dash board and locate the heater core you will be able to see the location of these two hoses. Removing the heater core is time consuming but it will save you about 700 dollars.

SOURCE: where are the fuses to

They are located in the passenger compartment fuse box.
If you open the drivers door their is a removable panel on the side of the dashbard. The panel has an area you can grab to remove. It is held in by snap clips. When you remove the panel their will be a fuse diagram showing you the AC/Heat fuses. If you let me know what the problem is that you are having I can let you know what fuses to check

Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ? The computer grounds the relay when the computer "sees" oil pressure or engine RPM.

Hi, I have a 2005 Kia Sportage and I have a problem with rear wiper. Rear wiper not working, and no rear window heater. I checked the fuses and are good. Can you help me? Thank you very much.

Check the wires or contacts that power the rear door components, there is evidently no power getting to the rear door. It could be broken wires in the rubber conduit between the frame and the door or if it has contacts, they are not touching or the terminals may be off behind the block.
