Reset the oil indicator on a 2000 Toyota Rav4?

hold trip A in with engine and key off while holding trip button in turn key and engine on.
keep holding trip button in until light stops flashing when it stops flashing then release the trip reset button this should clear the maintenance warning light. hope this helps

Try this...
Turn the key to the 'on' position.

Press the trip button meter until it displays the "Trip A" odometer.

Turn they key to the off position.

Then while holding the trip meter down, turn the key to the 'on' position. 4 blinking dashes will display and they will count down.

When the last dash disappears 000000 is displayed to indicate the maintenance counter has been reset.

Get in the vehicle and shut the door. Press the start button once (Don't touch anything else)
Press and hold the odometer reset WHILE pressing the start button.

1. To reset MAINT reminder light after engine oil replacement, turn ignition switch to OFF position with odometer reading showing. Turn ignition switch to ON position while holding down trip meter RESET button.
2. Hold trip meter RESET button down for at least 5 seconds. Odometer should indicate "000000" and MAINT reminder light goes out.

In my 2006 RAV4, Set the trip meter to trip A and turn key to OFF. Hold the trip reset down and turn Key to ON (do not start car). Hold for about 5 sec until the trip sets to 00000. Turn to OFF. It should be reset. If my RAV4 manual, it is in the light indicators section.

On my 06, Set the display to Trip A and turn key to OFF. Hold the Trip reset down and turn key to ON (do not start RAV4). Wait about 5 sec until it displays 00000. Turn key to OFF and it should be reset.

This is Toyota's scheduled maintenance for the RAV4 at 100,000 miles...

Replace engine oil and oil filter 1
Rotate tires
Replace engine coolant 2
Visually inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs

1) Reset the oil replacement reminder (“MAINT REQD”) light after replacing engine oil, if vehicle is equipped with this light.
2) Initial replacement at 100,000 miles/120 months. Replace every 50,000 miles/60 months thereafter. Refer to "Engine Coolant" in the "Explanation of Maintenance Items" section in the back of this guide for more information.

Select the trip odometer A first, then: hold down the trip button while the car is off, turn the key to the on position without turning on the car, then continue to hold down the button for another 5 seconds
