it may be worth while changing the battery in the remote as it takes more power to send the frequency to disarm than to illuminate the l.e.d.

SOURCE: Clutch pedal low near floor, can the clutch be adjusted?

hi the clutch on accent is hydraulic operation so if pedal is very low on disengaging clutch ? you may have a problem with the hydraulics 1st thing to check is fluid level? this is the reservoir that feeds both brakes and clutch but is seperaterated inside if fluid low? top up and bleed the slave cyl however if fluid low indicates a leak ? possibly slave cyl? if no loss of fluid ? then prob may be fault in the master cyl ? check fluid come back with any update please ps if this problem has just occured? check for leaks ?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

In a manual 2001 Hyundai Accent, the clutch cable could be adjusted. The adjustment point is on the cable 'pad' where it enters the firewall in the engine compartment.

To adjust, the slack or free play must be decreased. This is done by turning the adjusting nut clockwise. Check back by pressing on the clutch pedal to your preference.

that clutch system in that vehicle uses a pull type not a push type presure plate, sounds like the release bearing did not engauge into the snap ring in the presure plate there is a certain proceedure for that, you may have to take it back apart.

Clutch adjustment on 2005 Getz

if it's got a cable, it is set too tight. if it's been that way for months, then adjustment will probably be fruitless as the clutch plate is probably already worn. loosen the cable nut about two or three full turns and it will engage the clutch about halfway of its travel
