Stalling and not restarting when warm, crank sensors were changed and it made no difference

You might try and remove the anti theft system. If that doesn't work try to disconnect the battery until the system resets itself. BTW howdoes it run? Is it in good shape otherewise?

Van runs good then stalls out. then hard to start. If i let it sit for 5 minutes it starts again no problem. Then stalls again shortly there after.

This sounds like a failing camshaft position sensor and weak crank shaft sensor .When crank shaft sensor gets weak it will stop functioning. When crank shaft sensor stops working then ECM will not control fuel system and the fuel will stop flowing. And this can cause the problem. When crank shaft sensor gets heated it will stop working, but when the car shuts off, the sensor gets cold and works for few minutes and sensor again gets hot and it stalls. ---------- Get the crank shaft sensor tested on your Chevrolet venture. ---------- There are many other possibilities for this stalling problem, but crank shaft problem is indicating in your case. Okay, so I just bought a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT, 6 Cyl. The car runs GREAT... locally... as soon as I hop on the interstate for a few minutes the engine stalls. I have to shift into neutral and pull on...

best thing to do is to hookup a fuel pressure gauge and monitor the fuel pump
then you would not change a good pump
odds that pump is failling are not that good

Will not turn over when hot new starter silonid and battery will start when cold but havta turn key several times

The engine is seizing up when hot. Have the compression checked on all pistons starting when its cold and wait 10 more minutes and do it again when its warmed up. You may get different reading telling you the rings are sticking causing the hard to start when hot

My mom's car runs good until it gets to running temp and when she come to a stop the motor start to shake and it stalls, so you have to wait for a few minutes start ang until the next stop help

Check the primary and secondary resistance on the coil. When a coil starts to go it will short out when it gets hot. Also check any temp soleniods you may have to make sure they are good

Diesel engine keeps stalling

Hi!
Looking at the brief description of your problem it may be your heater plug timer? when you start the vehicle from cold the glow plugs have to heat up. These are little pencil type plugs that are mounted in the cylinder head they are timed and glow rather like the bar of an electric fire so the hot spots in each cylinder warm and give precise combustion. If the timer/relay gives only a short burst of power your car will start as normal but if the cylinders are still cold/cool when it shuts off the Vapourised Diesel doesn't ignite correctly so rev's drop and if you can't raise them will stall. When you turn off the ignition and back on again the timer/relay kicks in glow plugs glow and bingo your'e off again. I presume after the first stall everything is back to normal? if not how far up the road is it before engine dies? also how long after starting does it stall?
I hope you don't mind the Epic, Oh! if your 306 continues try starting the car and waiting a while listen for a click like a switch or if the interior light is on when it brightens after a few seconds turn off the ignition then back on and start then see how far you go!
Good Luck!

Amc dies?

For a older car like yours, sometime sick just like an older people. Car is different, if you can find the reason why cause this kind problem, as soon as you fix it, it will run for a while, but it is not easy, I think when you drive for a while, the engine is hot and inside is over heated, the ring on the piston expanded, that’s cause the engine stalled, after 10 to 15 minutes, the engine cool down, it will start and drive a short distance again and wait until the engine getting hot again, it will stall again.

How do you solve this problem, go to junk yard and find a low mileage engine put in or rebuild your engine.

Hope this can help.
