Engine runs good when its cold when engine warms up it shuts off let it sit two minutes it will start and go a little ways and shut down again

ok its one of two things you need to check when it cuts off if you have spark or fuel if you lose fuel pressure replace pump it gets hot and makes noise like its running but its not pumping fuel and if you lose spark you need to replace ignition control module has a hair line crack in it and when gets hot the crack expands and loses contact and wala no spark

Have you checked the cam position sensor, it is also called a pickup coil. I have ran into this problem alot and that is what was wrong, sometimes it would not make the cheak engine light come on.

it might be a bad ignition moduale. or could be a bad ignition coil

Sounds like you have the same problem I just fixed on my Park Avenue. Depending on how many miles you've put on your car already, you may have a bad mass air flow sensor, also known as a MAF sensor. The picture below is several different shots of a typical MAF sensor in the 3.8 liter V6 engine. Usually mounted on the top front side of your intake manifold. Drive side in the engine compartment, very easy to spot. Also very easy for a beginner in auto mechanics to change.
The problem I was having is as follows. The engine would die when it gets hot and I couldn't get it to start until it cooled down. The engine ran very rough. I changed the mass air flow sensor and haven't had any problems every since. Now my Park Avenue runs just perfect. This seems to be a common problem with the Buick Park Avenue/ Le Sabre models 92 and later, especially if your car has over 100,000 miles. That's the good news.
The bad news is, You may want to do some shopping around for to find a good deal on. These things are expensive, $129.99 for a new one at your local Autozone.
You may be able to get a good one at a wrecking yard for $50.00 bucks, but take a straight blade screwdriver with you and, make sure they let you test it in the vehicle before you buy. If the MAF sensor is working, the engine will run good with the sensor either connected or disconnected.
If the sensor is bad, the engine will run rough when it is connected.
Safety First: Always make sure the ignition key is completely off before connecting or disconnecting the sensor.
Replace the sensor and your problem will probably disappear for good.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck
