My 2005 Chrysler Pacifica Touring starts rough and then shuts down right after getting started. It won't stay idle!
Try giving it a little fuel to keep it going. if it still goes but will shakes and splutters and coughs before smoothing out it sounds like fuel is draining back from your engine to the tank. if you have an electric fuel primer pump that turns on when you turn the ignition to on you should be able to hear an electric whine unless your car either does not feature one or its not audiable/ possibly not working. leave your car at "on" for 10 seconds then try starting it as well. see if it improves
SOURCE: Perform Service Light comes on
This is a setting that can be reset to 2000 miles - when it counts down to 0 you get the "Perform Service" alert. I believe if you use the Step function you will see "XX miles to Service" Use the reset button to set this back to 2000.

Sounds like you need a starter, or you have a loose wire somewhere under the hood.

Yes new gas shocks on the lift gate will fix your problem. I had the same problem on my 2005 Pacifica and when it hit my head- I came up with the solution.
Good Luck,

if your garage motor have rolling codes you need to put your car inside garage near the motor leave ignition on go to the motor locate learn button press it then quickly go to the car and press and hold one of the buttons for approximately 30 sec or until it start blinking rapidly, if you have a regular motor take one hand held opener go inside car ignition on same time press open button on handheld remote and on the car button 30 sec and it should be programmed.
