Could be coming from a shock. Also some of those vehicles have a rubber bumper and if it is broken or missing, depending how bad the bumps are vehicle could be bottoming out....in ohter words you might not have a rubber bumper to absorb the bounce.

SOURCE: front end noise cavalier

hi, this sounds like track rod ends have gone this is for the steering and causes the tyre to where in one point these are cheap to buy and easy to fit but you will need to get the tracking set after replacing this part as it needs to be set to stop your tire wearing uneven the noise your getting will be from the tire on the road as it will be forcing the tire to run uneven so getting this checked would be my first choice.
Hope this is some help toy you let me know how you get on or if you have any questions ok

SOURCE: Front end Chevy cobalt loud squeak?!

If you have the time, take the vehicle to an autoshop of your choice, and ask them to grease all fittings on the front end. My car did the exact same thing, it was the ball joints. You may need a new ball joint, but being a 2009, I highly doubt it unless its been in an accident or something. There are grease fittings on the front, I believe there should be at least 5, maybe more, but the sound you are experiencing is the equivalant to a pogo stick if I'm correct. Hope that helps.

I have an 02 Dodge Ram 15002wd.I just had the front end aligned and new tires put on.Drives straight as an arrow problem is when I go over small bumps there is a constant clanking noise like something is...

Get it up on a ramp , Clank / Knocking can come from anything underneath , SILENCER, EXAHUST PIPES. If the clanking happened since your repair , and not before , take it back to the Garage / Workshop and tell them about the problem

Loud bang when I hit a bump with my foot on the break. No sound at all if I hit a bump without my foot on the brake. What is this?

indicates that lower suspension rubbers are broken and should be inspected by an accredited front suspension professional service center

Front end noise

Take the car to the nearest tire shop and have the front end tech take a look at the problem is the best advice I can offer as noise issues are very hard to hear over the keyboard of my computer. Sorry.

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra Z71 4x4 that recently started making a loud creaking noise in the front end. It is very loud and occurs instantly when turning the steering left or right, and also is noticeable...

You might want to check the ball joint. None of them have grease zerks and can dry out. They will cause a noise when turning or hitting a bump, if really bad. Hope this helps.

Loud creaking sound when driving from front end 1997 Grand Voyager... not sure if it is shocks, or something worse. No popping sound that I can notice - just creaking. Not sure if safe to drive for another...

hi it could be the shocks, but normally they don't creak, they would normally work as normal but bang if you hit a bump, this sounds more like rubber bushings have worn or are very dry, have a look under the front of your car, and see if you can see any rubber items that have either perished or have worn, you can try getting some wd40 or some spray lube and just hitting all the rubber items with this then trying it and see how you go, i cant be 100% for obvious reasons ( i cant hear it for the main one ) but that's what it sounds like, try that first ...hope this sorta helps

LOUD CLANGING NOISE

also check all your suspension bushings make sure they are all good. spare tire holder maybe? make sure none of the rear leaf springs are broken. also make sure all the bolts holding the bed down properly. make sure it isnt your tailgate either... could pretty much be anything. just make sure you bushings are good and everything is tight.

Clanking noise under front drivers side - small bumps and turns...

CV joints yes look at the rubber boots for damage. You can get a replacement boot but if you do remove all the old grease to remove any dirt that is cousing your problem.

Clunk noise from front left suspension

My guess is a strut bushing/bearing, but have your front end checked out by good shop to make sure it isn't something else more dangerous.
