I have a 1998 TF series Holden Rodeo which, when idling, revs very high and then very low. The high revs get progressively higher with each cycle and the low revs get progressively lower until the engine stalls. Revs can be held at a constant 1200rpm by applying a little constant accelerator. When stopping the engine has a tendency to stall. The problem is not noticeable when the engine is cold and gets progressively worse as it warms up.
