Hi it will need codeing if you go to the dealers it will cost you arm and leg check your phone book find a auto electrician that also cuts keys and can code it for you as well you may have to get the key from dealers but ask the auto electrician he will know best place as far as reverse sensors the only simple change on these is the fuse as the rest are sealed modules unless someone accidently pulled the wiring off in the boot could have a quick check but if you get a auto electrician out for your key get him to have a quick look

Check with you local lock smiths, some local lock smiths carry electronic keys and can program them for you, usually at half the cost that a dealer will charge you

My daughter just bought a jaguar type s 2000, I wish she would of read the reviews I saw before she purchased this car. The same day she bought it she came to my house parked in my drive way and was...

Check to see if the brake lights are working. The park-lock is usually deactivated by the brake light circuitry. She should be able to drive the car if she turns the key one click, puts the car in neutral, and then cranks the car. Gotta believe the ford solution will work on the Jag, since Ford owns Jaguar.

2.2 jag diesel. on start up it will not respond to the throttle sometimes for 20 30 40 50 seconds. its been plugged in but shows no faults.

would to have a play sorry but my first thought is the throttle pedal sensors .But as its a diesel your code reader is about as obsolete as a Model T you have to just know how a diesel works to get the feel for it then you will have a good idea whats wrong .

2005 SANTA FE 2.7L V6 BENZINE.THE GEAR IS CHANGING VERY HARD.THE SPORTS SHIFT READS 3 INSTEAD OF 1 WHEN VEHICLE IS NOT MOVING.SPORTS SHIFT NOT WORKING.ALOT OF SPEED NEEDED TO REVERSE.

dear friend-before you even look at the gearbox, have a look at the TPS sensor,as this sensor acts on information from various other sensors and can affect
the gear changing pattern to its information.

My v8 sports JAGUAR sedan has deveped a valve or

cam follower is stuck ??maybe because its difficult to diagnose without hearing it,this is normally caused by not changing the oil often enough and using long life oil ??waste of space this stuff change oil every 6000 miles and filter every third oil change .Use the cheapest oil you can buy preferably a diesel turbo oil and this will keep the engine clean and free from gummy deposits. Also as its a big cat then you have to polish it every week to keep it purring and give it the leather cream on the seats.I look after my jag better than er indoors ,shes free to a good home

Reversing lights not work

sounds like it could just be the reverse sensor located on the acctual gearbox under bonnet, you can tell which one it is as it is one of possible two.
