First my 95 plymouth voyager started missing then stopped reversing, now whenever I put it in drive it shuts off what could be the problem?

The battery light indicates the alternator is not charging the battery, keep driving and the car will stop when the battery runs out! Get the alternator checked!

Check crankshaft sensor.

many of these ,,,, with the coil pack get's hot and shorts off . thus shutting it of... let it cool down, start's up....... have em tested.

run vehicle in park and check transmission fluid.

sounds like you have an earth fault check your earthing points and give them a clean

I would have the fluid and filter changed,not a bad problem,be sure to use correct fluid,it is a synthetic fluid,

if you give it some gas pedal while you start it, will that help it. there is a thing call an idle control solenoid. this allow a little air in to the engine while sitting with no throttle.

I had the same problem in my 1999 plymouth voyager. Changed both speed sensors it started shifting perfectly.. Now i get a little thump when downshifting from 2nd to first when stoping change the sensors there only about 20 dollars each its 2 of them on the front of transmission..

when you shut the car off it resets the computer so it works again you may have a bad transmission sensor .or an internal trans problem.
