SOURCE: 1989 dodge ram 150 5.2 motor shutters

Start the engine and get it up to operating temperature. Take a spray bottle with water in it and spray the vaccum hoses and around the intake gaskets. If the water affects your idle, you possibly have a very common intake gasket leak. That motor is well know for vacuum leaks around the intake gaskets. You can also try spraying carb cleaner, but be very careful with that. Hope this helps. Sounds like a vacuum leak to me.

try by replacing the spark plugs and the plug wires and add some injector cleaner to the fuel tank

Code 327 and336 on my saturn 1998 sl

clunch ? clutch Are those P codes ? P0327 an P0336
The knock sensor is a piezoelectric device that produces an output voltage based on mechanical engine vibration. The PCM will retard the electronic spark timing on the signal being received. The knock sensor produces an AC signal. The amplitude and signal frequency is dependent upon the knock level. During normal operation, the knock sensor system attempts to filter out all engine noise that is not caused by spark knock. The diagnostic test for DTC P0327 turns OFF all filtering during the first 20 seconds of engine run time. If a sufficient amount of noise is detected during the 20 second test, the diagnostic passes. If no noise is detected, the diagnostic fails. Since DTC P0327 is a type B code, the diagnostic must fail during 2 consecutive ignition cycles to set the DTC.
DTC P0336
The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor defines engine position by generating an electrical pulse each time it passes by a notch of the crankshaft reluctor wheel. The PCM uses crankshaft sensor pulses for fuel delivery and spark timing.

'84 Porsche 944. Are the CV joints bad?

Any CV joint that knocks while driving straight will be dangerously worn out. Most Cv joints make noise on sharp corners. This vehicle should be a rear wheel drive and if equipped with Cv joints will be in the rear. If it knocks over rough roads/bumps I would look at stabilizer links/bushings for wear and possibly the source of your noise if you are confident it is not from the engine

Steering rack

Dave, the knocking noise may end up being unrelated. As for the shutter/hesitation, depending on the vehicle, it may be a filter/in-line valve. Check the pressure hoses and the outlet of the pump. Certain pump designs will have, what seems to be an extension coming off of them, a pressure valve/limiter..

Wheres the knock sensor

The 3.8L (VIN K) engine uses 2 knock sensors.

The Knock Sensor (KS) is mounted in the engine block, where it detects abnormal engine vibration, such as detonation (spark knock). When a knock is detected, the KS produces an AC voltage signal that is sent to the PCM. The system is designed to ****** spark 10-15° to counteract the effects of varying levels of octane in gasoline. This allows the engine to use maximum spark advance to improve driveability and fuel economy.

I hope helps; your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Engine runs smooth at idle vibrates when you put in gear and gets worse when ac turns on goes away when you raise the idle a little drives fine already had motor mounts checked

That sort of misfire is typical of ignition problems. Start by checking the condition of the plugs, then the wires, then rotor, and finally the distributor cap. Have in mind that a particularly black, oily spark plug doesnt necessarily means that it is shot, but also it could mean that the cable leading to it, or the corresponding contact at the distributor cap is not doing its job.

I have a 1994 gmc 4x4 and the front axles wont engage

If Your Front CV shaft is broken it will not engage...Shaft can be in visibly good shape, but you might hear a knocking sound or a shutter when turning sharply. I had this problem this last winter. Get under the truck and try and turn the CV by hand. if it can be rotated, it is bad.
