While under your vehicle, sometimes on the top or your rear end, there is an opening that allows air to enter and exit when pressure builds up. Other models have a hose that connects to some part of the rear end, just follow this hose to its end and make sure its not clogged or pinched.

suspect a defective oil pressure switch... then suspect a bad engine

ETC is electronic traction control. However I feel that the problem is more likely cam/crank position sensor related Check that the cam shaft is turning (broken timing belt/chain). Check for fuel pressure/injector faults. Check for HT spark to plugs. Run fault codes to determine the fault.

Start or turn over?

The pump will only run for 1 second unless the engine is either being cranked or is started and running.

Check your fuses

Check the adjustment of the NSS if it is off it will give you this problem.

By the throttle body

check the linkages from gear stick to gearbox ,may be loose.

Follow the upper radiator hose. it connects the radiator to the thermostat housing. Its a cheap part to replace that thermostat, should be just two bolts holding the housing down.

Yes, it's fairly common for the linkage to break or come loose. You may be able to see it underneath the car, or take it to a shop and have them put it on a lift to check it out.
