the key fob remote and switches for door locks do not work. Also the drivers side power window does not work but the other 3 windows do work.
This is on a 2004 chevy colorado crew cab with 5 cylinder engine
I had the same problem to the T. I look online for all the same solutions and I can only tell you what worked for me. Actually what I think worked, HAHA! I went out to my truck and unplugged both battery terminals from battery and placed them together to supposedly reset the electrical system, "so I was told." After this for about 20 min or so, I went back out and in this order; re-installed positive terminal followed by negative terminal to battery. After this I checked locks and windows and surprise they worked. I've seen a lot of people say that all they did was wait and they worked later, so maybe it was that and not what I did, but who cares, they work now. Give it a shot and if it works for you, GREAT let me know, I HATE CHEVY CAUSE OF THIS......they wanted me to pay for a stupid diagnostic before they would help me........well screw you I fixed myself. Ignition key will not turn, car is in park, steering wheel is not locked. Any advice?
common for this key switch to be defective. Might try graphite lubricant to spray in the hole. Once you replace key switch it will have to be recoded (electronically)by a lock smith, repair shop or dealer.

what does reduced power traction fault mean? When I crank my 2004 chevy colorado up it will istantly die and then I have to wait a few minutes and crank it up again, it will die again. After I am able to get it started I can drive it down the road for a few minutes and it will die. I still have power to lights, stero, all other electronic device's.
Other people I've read about have this problem which may be attributable to a bad PCM connector or even bad gasoline (I've read).
One person had a random fault code that went away with driving.
They only had 4600 mi. on their vehicle.
Good luck on this one.

i have a 2007 chevy colorado that the heater quit working on... its not the usual 1-3 that doesnt work, none of the setting work, also i have checked the fuse, resistor, harness, and the ground on the ps fender... all are ok (not bunt/blown) also my blower motor works just fine if i put power straight to it... so is it the switch that is bad or did i miss something??
Condition/Concern:
There are possible concerns; Erratic operation of... blower motor, windshield wipers, fog lamps, SIR indicator, cruise control, ABS indicator, battery drain and a possible no start condition. Symptoms may very due to the relay failing to engage or remaining stuck in the closed position applying power even when the ignition is in the off position. There are 2 possible issues that contribute to any of the suspected intermittent failure listed above. Relay 15328864 is used in locations 58, 59, 61 and 62 in the UBEC. Refer to the UBEC cover on the vehicle for the correct relay locations.
The IGN 3 relay, HVAC A fuse and the blower motor are in a series circuit. The test lamp should illuminate if there is no concern with the series circuit. If you unplug the resistor are you getting power to the resistor? If yes check for resistor ground have had blower motors lose ground at the resistor. If ground checks ok check for power at the blower motor if power s getting to the blower motor create a new ground just for testing purposes. Going to post the wiring diagram for the circuit.
You can right click the pic and save to your comp to print out a bigger view. We need to find out where you have power and where you don't.

oil pressure light comes on at idle
This may not be a problem, if it goes away at driving speeds, engine might just be idling a little slow. Did it always do this, or is this new?

where is the pcv valve located on a colorado
Many people have a similar issue, and the bottom line is that there is no PCV valve; instead, there is a hose running from the valve cover to the resonator box.
