Essentials Refrigerators - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
My fridge is leaking a lot of water onto the base o f the fridge where the salad compartments are. I'm constantly mopping it up and it's no more than 18 months old. Does anyone know what might be ca
The warming and cooling cycle is off. Refrigerators cycle hot and cold, this allows the frig from not turning into ice. Remember the old days you had to leave the door open to defrost ?
There should be an adjustment at the bottom (in front) just below the front door side underneath the frig. Some have a knob, others have a screwdriver blade. Try that 1st, otherwise your compressor is going bad and not putting out the proper cooling. 18 months sounds awful short for a bad compressor. They can last a lifetime.
First I'd rush to find my warranty papers before time goes by, because no one will fix a compressor. Once a compressor goes bad it spells junk, buy a new fridge.
The other part that can go bad are the warming bulbs hidden in the walls, but usually the fridge stops cooling period when that happens because the electrical circuit is broken. One needs a closed circuit to make anything work. Also check if the compartment has a separate cooling adjustment, many have. The other thing to check is to look for
the cooling adjustment within the refrig itself, which controls the entire refrigerator. Turn it a notch at a time cooler. The main cooling adjustment is usually located on top in the upper portion within the fridge. Make a list of the items I mentioned, then check them off because I didn't give the causes in the exact order.

How to remove drip tray at back of aeg fridge
On an AEG SANTO 3533, the tray sits on top of the compressor. There is a short metal "tunnel" on top of the compressor. The tray has a plastic clip in the middle which goes through the tunnel and latches up on the other side. To remove, reach to the back of the metal in the middle of the tray, press the plastic clip firmly down, and pull/wiggle the tray backwards horizontally to remove. Needed a torch to see clearly on mine. One of these things that's easy once you've done it once.
