Use your factory CD or visit www.Brother.com and install the Control Center 3 (CC3) software. Opening the CC3 brings up a menu that lets you scan, edit, and store documents and photos using your computer.

I would uninstall the dodgy mydvd program, and use Spybot to clean up the malware it has spread on your system.

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

1. Click on files tab at the top in Window Photo Gallery.
2. Click on import from camera or scanner.
3. Highlight your scanner icon (ie Brother MFC240c) then click import.
4. New scan window will popup, now you can preview or scan using this basic looking Vista utility.

The all in one solution software you used in XP doen't work with Vista.

But you can still scan and copy by using Windows Photo Gallery.

u put ur picture on glass of scanner . and give command to scanne after scanning computer will ask in which format u like to save ur file

I have a Brother MFC-665CW. I need to scan pictures and send them to my email. When I press the 'send to email' button it finds my pc and says 'connecting to pc' then nothing happens.
HELP ME PLEASE! What am I doing wrong?

FIRST OF ALL YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL THE BROTHER MFC SUITES CD THAT CAME WITH YOUR MACHINE, WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THE INSTALLATION, BRING UO THE PROGRAM PAPER PORT OF YOUR MONITOR, PUT THE COPY THAT YOU WANT SCAN ON THE FLAT BED, IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND YOU WILL SEE PHOTO OR TEXT CLICK WHICH EVER YOU ARE SCANNING, NOW CLICK SCAN ANOTHER SCREE WILL COME UP AND ASK YOU IF YOU ARE USING THE FKAT BED( THE GLASS OR THE DOCUMENT FEEDER. CLICK THAT, NEXT TELL IT AGAIN PHOTO OR TEXT OR WHAT EVER THEN CLICK SCAN, ON THE SCREEN YOU WILL SEE THE SCANNING TAKING PLACE, THEN YOU WILL SEE THE SCANNED ITEM  EITHER IN MY DOCUMENTS OR MY PICTYRES DEPENDING WHERE YOU TOLD YOUR COMPUTER TO PUT THEM HOPE THIS HELPS, GOOD LUCK BROTHER SR TECH
