No! Check out my post and contact me if you need to! So glad I did this, fixed the TV and the wife is very happy! Go to Encompass Parts http://www.encompassparts.com/ Where it says login, click on the words "guest login" and you won't have to register. Click on US Dollars at the next window. In the next window, copy paste this part number - 3250701500 and click the little magnifying glass. Don't worry about model number. Checkout and yours will be on the way. Mine was $102 shipped! The brand is Vivatek and it works perfectly! Thank you to whoever posted this! We found another for over $189 but decided to try this. I kept pulling the old one out, cleaning and oiling which would last only a few weeks and got tired of it. Anyone who needs help installing please email me at [email protected] and I will help you out. The TV is worth repairing. We plan to get a spare in case we need it. Hope this one lasts longer than the original wheel.

What has to be done is the color wheel will need changed out before we can go any furthur. While your at it change the lamp.

When i turn my tv on it sounds like a high pitched wine...is it the motor?? Still turns on no picture quality issues just a loud noise that accompanies the picture

Thats your Color wheel But acorrding to what I researched you have to Replace the whole optical Module part# 9NK3797086200 which is optical module, light Engine & Colorwheel Encompass Parts do not have it in stock but they List its Price $1,930.00 core refund $1,030.00 cost of total replacement is $900.00 you can call them to find out 1-800-638-3328 or try UED 1-800-648-6657. See if you can just replace The Color Wheel itself because that is what is Bad! OR are you better off to just replace the whole unit!

I have a Sharp 56DR650 Rear Pro. TV. w/ a LOUD color wheel motor

If the color wheel is making noise then its best to replace it and not try to repair it, Unfortunatley the wheel is not available by itself and a complete optic block part # 9NK3797086200...Be careful when taking the bock apart as it runs $900.00

the 32 message indicates lamp issues. Buy a new lamp with new cage and that should fix the problem.

Sharp 56dr650 Dlp colorwheel for Mike miaer

I have a Sharp 56dr650. The color wheel bearing failed. Sharp cares not for its customers and won't even respond to my pleads for help in obtaining the replacement. So, with that said, I went to ebay and bought a vizio color wheel (Omega TV in Hollywood, FL). Color wheel is incorrect and colors are all blue as is, so I pulled the color wheel off and did the same from the old one-BIG note, the wheels are glass and fragile, DO NOT BREAK the old color wheel! I viced the old bearing and carefully worked the shaft out of the bearing (it is snapped into the bearing). The vice distorted the old bearing but it was trash anyway. The new bearing, I broke the new color wheel off and viced the shaft. I then pulled the old bearing from the wheel. I then carefully push the old shaft and color wheel into the new bearing (you will know when it snaps in place) asserting preasure ONLY on the metal center hub with my thumb. I had to file a new slot on the cast housing as the ribbon connector is about 1/2 inch shorter on the new bearing. I installed and it all works great!!! Saved from tossing a $2,000 plus tv out! SHAME ON SHARP! Never buy another Sharp product!

I searched for over a month for this custmer and had no luck at all finaly the ony option was to get the light engine from Sharps board exchange for $600.00 that is beter than the 1300.00 that Andrews wanted for it. Then found that RCA used the same wheel in one of there DLP's and sure enough this part number had been discontinued and the entire set has crush and exchange order on it as well.

These set have a problem with the color wheel, when it starts to fail it will do what you describe. The bad news is Sharp will not sell just the colorwheel, the sell the entire light engine for $1200.00 ond as of today I still have not found a replacment colorwheel that will work for this set
