Unfortunately, no solution. I made a call to the company. They explained it would not work with windows 98. I then was back to square one and decided to put up with my old printer.

Emachines T4010 won't start up, says image checksum, and that an image is corrupted

Receiving a bad image checksum error message when upgrading a computer to Windows XP means that a Windows system file such as user32.dll is damaged. This error occurs when any damaged system file is encountered that isn't overwritten during Setup. The repair process for this error involves voiding the damaged dynamic link library file from the DOS command line prompt and replacing it with a new copy from the Windows XP disk.

Insert a clean Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (ME) or Microsoft Windows 98 Edition startup disk into the computer, and hold the reset button on the front of the computer until the system commences rebooting. Navigate the Windows startup menu with the keyboard's directional keys and select 'Start Computer with CD-ROM Support'. Hit "Enter" to continue. Write down your CD-ROM's drive letter on a piece of paper. At the command prompt, type "Drive:" without quotes (Drive should be replaced with the drive letter on which Windows is installed), and press "Enter." Type "cd windows\system32" without quotes, and press "Enter." Type "ren user32.dll user32.old" without quotes and again press "Enter." This renames your damaged user32.dll file so it is not recognized by the system, but still physically exists as a backup if needed in the future. Eject the Windows ME or 98 disk, and insert the Windows XP disk. At the command prompt, type "extract CDROMDrive:\i386\user32.dl_ Drive:\windows\system32\user32.dll" without quotes, replacing CDROMDrive with the CD-ROM's drive letter that you made a note of earlier, and replacing Drive with the system's drive letter on which Windows is installed. Hit "Enter" to execute the command. This process extracts a new copy of the user32.dll file to your hard disk, from the Windows XP CD. The new file will be found in the Windows/System32 directory. Restart the system by holding the reset button on the front of the tower until reboot commences.

I AM HAVING EPSONT13 MODEL I WANT USE WIN98SE WITH THIS PRINTER CAN POSIBLE.

http://ptf.com/epson/epson+t13+driver/

When I looked at a site that provides drivers for this printer, it was for 7, Vista, or XP.

Windows 98 SE is kind of too old I think.

You might try some other sites, but in my experience it may not pan out for you.

Maybe, try to update your operating system, then download the driver for it.

How to reinstall windows 98

You could certainly install 98, but why? If you did install Window98, you would have zero security patches available because Microsoft no longer supports 98.

If you have 128M of memory, windows XP works ok.

Help with insterlation of hp5650 printer

installing an hp 5650 printer is as simple as plugging it in and downloading the drivers from Hp.com. type in your model when asked under support tab and they will download to your desktop. I doubt that printer will work with the new Windows Vista, but it should be fine with XP, 2000, 98 or 95.

Hi Stoney520, Use your search window and go to your model of Printer, eg, Hewlet Packare 1350 and click the search button. after you get to your appropriate printer manufacturer they will have upgrade software for Windows Vista. Its usually free because everybody upgrades.Good Luck.

I have a lexmark 1200 and i can not install the sofeware on my computer it is a windows 98. i have been able to install the sofeware before but i had problem with the printer and the computer responding to...

Lexmark isn't supporting windows 98 anymore. You may be having difficulties with the licensing completion because its looking for Win 98 files on the internet and they have probably been pulled from the server.

You might have better luck if you track down a Windows 2000 operating system.

Will a lexmark 5000 work on a windows 98 pentium 2. If so do i need another driver?

yes it does. and you need the drive from the lexmark site.
go here and type your printer model (5000) select the color printer.
A new page will come up. Select the Windows you have (Windows 98).
Click download. When it finishes, open the file in the Windows 98 computer and install. it will tell you when to plug your printer in the port.
