there is a lint screen inside the water pump hose(the one that goes from the outer tub to the pump). if you have a port or access door to get to it remove it, if not you may have to remove the front panel to get to it. you could have debris blocking the drain and causing the computer to delay the spin process.
You dont say how big this rug is, but I am guessing its not big enough to spreadevenly around the machine. The machine senses an imbalance and willo not spin or failos to spin at a rate that would rekove the water. Try adding some balance to the drum with another object that will evenly spread the load to see if that helops to get rid of the sopping water. BTW any pictures of you whipping the rug around in the backyard? That should make for Utube fame!
does it even spin? check for broken coupler by checking for tub movment when opening lid when you hear motor in spin. if good check that machine advances to spin from neutral drain automatically. let it enter spin from rinse on its own. first it will drain without spin. after 2-3 min of drain motor will pause (with clank) then restart in spin. This pause can be accomplished by opening lid and closing as well but the timer should do it on its own. if bad replace timer.
The F21 error on this line of washers is the
machines way of saying the water took to long to drain from the tub.
This could be a problem with one of the washer parts
including the drain pump itself, how the drain hose enters the stand
pipe, or maybe even something is stuck somewhere in the drain system
and is preventing the water from flowing properly. Not quite an
emergency, but it is an indication of a problem and a problem that can
lead to something bigger if not looked into.
In talking with
the customer, I found out the last load before all this started to
indicate a problem was a rug from the house. Rugs can be troublesome to
was as many of them used in laundry and bath rooms have rubber backings
that can come loose when washed. When the backing comes loose, it can
find it's way into the drain system and cause a problem, or the rug
fibers can come loose and do the same thing. Figuring this was the
problem, I explained to the customer how to get access to the drain
pump by removing the three screws that hold the lower access panel in
place. Here you will find the pump and the all important sump clean
out, or as we like to call it, the coin catcher. Inside she found many
fibers from the rub along with a few other things that found there way
out of her kids pants pockets.
With the sump cleaned out, I
asked her to try another load then to give me a call and let me know
how everything worked out. A phone call a couple hours later told me
the problem had been solved, and now this customer knows a bit more
about her washer.
Many of the front load washers on the market
have a user accessible clean out for just such an occurrence. Just be
aware that if you open it up, any water that is still inside the tub
will quickly be in your lap, so plan accordingly.
Exactly the same problem. Washed a small area rug that appeared to have pretty much disintegrated. Machine would not drain. Got the same e 20 code. Checked the drain hose, and it was fine. Reamed the house drain just to be sure. Drum appears to have drained, but now the motor runs, and no water enters the machine. Both water hoses are flowing. No further error codes. Nada.
this is something that you can fix even if your not a technical person . first you have to open the washing machine front panel or back panel , second , follow the DRAIN HOSE to where its connected to a little motor, disconnect the DRAIN HOSE , take the LITTLE MOTOR out and clean it out , it could be clogged.
it happen once and find out the person put the BATH RUG SET
to wash , the rug was so old that pieces of a rubber underneath the rugs clogged the drain , so there was no rinse and no spin.
try it , I hope it helps.
Your drain pump is definitely blocked/jammed. Remove drum to pump hose from pump, after unplugging the machine from the wall socket, and clear any obstruction within the hose and/or pump chamber. Also clean out front filter.
