Hello,
There is a Wireless switch on your model that turns the wifi on/off. Its located near the headphone jacks.Turn the switch on and you will be able to connect to your network.

1. your wireless adaptor is not on so turn it on by touching the wireless symbol at the touchpad
2. repair your wireless softwarewith your HP repair tool at the maintenace

Check the function keys to see if one of them has an icon for Wifi, and check to see if there is a switch on the front or side that would turn the Wifi on.

Don't remember if this particular model had a button on the front or side (left I thought). If not, take a look at your "F" function keys and see if there is a muted blue character that looks like a triangle with a line through it and a circle looking thing atop it. If memory serves, I think it'll be F2. Hold down the "Fnk" key and then the "F2". Give it a couple of seconds (about 15 actually) and hopefully your wireless is back up and running.

If NOT, give me a holler, there is a slightly longer tutorial I have that will walk you through "Starting a Service" that might have to be done in order to get you back up and running.

I suppose it could be something as simple as the switch was turned off by accident. On my laptop, there is a small slide switch below the front edge. It is easy to move it, you may have done so moving the laptop or whatever. Look for it, there should be a small yellowish light come on when the wireless is on.
