I have a T-Mobile Motorola RAZR V3. I've had it for over a year now, and just recently started experiencing problems where the screen goes black, but the keypad stays lit up. In order to fix this, most of the time I just have to turn the phone off and back on. But sometimes, that doesn't work either. I've found that if I can fix it then if I leave the phone ON and take the battery out, then put it back in after a few seconds and turn it on. If that doesn't work, I have to take the battery out, plug the phone into the charger, and let the screen light up to an error message that says "unable to charge", then put the battery back in and let it light up to "charging" and turn it back on. It really gets irritating, especially in situations where its crucial to have my cell phone. Is there anything I can do to fix this without having to buy a new phone?

I had a problem very similar to this with my Razr but my service was through Verizon. I took it into a Verizon store and they thought that a software upgrade would fix the problem. It didn't. Fortunately, the phone was still under warranty and they ended up replacing the phone.
Hi, before sending it in or taking it to a
Motorola repair station, try this. Open phone turn it over so camera is facing you with finger behind and thumb of your right hand sweeze the area between camera lens and the vol up down button to reseat the ribbon connector that is located in that area between the cases. This worked for me and it is worth trying.
Try master reset under "settings". Sometimes if there is any trama to the phone the flex cable connection to the camera does pop out. If the phone is under a year old and there is no physical damage send it back to motorola thru your phone service. If not crack it open and check the connection. Manuals can be fould online. Its very tight inside this phone so if you think it is very important to get the camera working give it a try.
