The switch of the main speaker does not engage when you plug inn your earphone it's suppose to turn off the main speaker.you need to clean the contact of the switch of the jack.Open the cover of reciever and go to the earphone jack spray it with a contact cleaner then try again.if the same thing happen replace the jack with a new one.

Panasonic SA-HT930 surround sound. Only the left and right speakers have sound. I need to check the pro logic setting, however, I have lost the remote. Is there any way to activate surround without it?

There doesn't appear to be any buttons on the unit which activates any sound setting. Without a remote you are stuck. Worse still is that remote for your model seems to be no longer made. If I have the right code, you can try searching for it yourself.

Have a look on the Curry's Partmaster website for a start.

I want to plug in my iPod touch to the DVD player I have, it's an SA-HT930 DVD home theatre sound system. But I don't know how :( can you help me out? I need some pretty easy to follow instruction...

The manual...

http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SAHT730.PDF

Anything that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except PHONO). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT "Phono".

I have a panasonic dvd home theater sound system SA-HT930, and the dvd player, is broke can do nothing with it, need a new one but the plug between the ampli and the dvd wont fit on any new dvd theater...

Believe it or not there is a seller on eBay who offers a one-price fixit solution for your unit for $100.

That aside, these types of systems are designed as a package to be used as a unit. Otherwise they might have standard connectors. Another closely-related Panasonic SA-HT system might work for you but I doubt anyone manufactures anyhting to adapt non-standard speakers to standard electronics.

They actually say on page 9 of the manual:

"Use only supplied speakers
Using other speakers can damage the unit, and sound quality will
be negatively affected.

I would interpret that to mean 'use these speakers only with similar Panasonic electronics'.

Reciver shuts off

Check your speaker and sub connections. When they are not imputed correctly the system will shut off.

F61 is a problem with the output amplifier pac. It is the equivalent of "protect" mode. The output pac needs to be replaced. I'll look up the part number for you.

No sound through Panasonic SA-HT930 surround system

I've had similar problems in the past. With audio problems trace the problem from the source to the amp.

1. What output is the cable box using for audio, digital or analog?
2. Is there a setting in the cable box to switch between digital and analog?
3. Once you have determined the output of the cable box check to make sure that it's going into the right output on the panasonic
4. This is where the problem usually is...what is the receiver expecting for sound, analog or digital?
5. Switching between the sources...the sound should be on one of them.
