Curtis LCD 4680A TV keeps reverting to AV2 source instead of staying on HDMI1 setting where I had it on. The TV is connected to a Dish Network receiver using HDMI1, I had this as my default Input Source. It is also connected to a Nintendo Wii on AV1 and a VCR/DVD player on AV2. All three were working just fine until 3 days ago. I switched from HDMI1 to AV2 using the side control panel on the TV. After watching our movie on AV2 I switched it back to HDMI1. Now every time it gets turned off and on it reverts back to AV2. I have tried the following and it still reverts to AV2 when you turn it on: 1.) Switched it back to HDMI1 using the remote as well as the side panel several times 2.) Reset TV to factory settings, several times 3.) Unplugged all components from the TV, Reset to factory conditions, Unplugged the TV from the Outlet and the Back of the TV, also turned off an on off switch it has in the back for 3 hours, then turned it back on I need it to default to HDMI1 when I turn it on. Please let me know if there is a way to return it to factory settings that will not result in the TV starting on AV2. Or if there is any solution to this problem. Thank You!!

To connect your Spectroniq PLTV 32050 TV to your Dish Network receiver and program the stations, you can follow these steps:

Can't keep the HDMI2 setting for watching streaming channels - TV automatically reverts to HDMI1

That's because you have connected another device in HDMI1, the TV detects it as power on, and then change HDMI2 to HDMI1.

Try to power off the device in hdmi1, or you can even try to change HDMI2 to HDMI1 port ;)

How to turn off closed caption

Unplug your tv from the wall (AC Plug) for 10 minutes. The set should revert back to default settings. This can also be done to your cable box/ direct tv box/ dish box.

Hooking up a Coby tv 32" to dish network but it says no signal

"No signal" usually means you are on the wrong input. Look at the back of the TV to determine what plugs were used to hook up the Dish box, it will be labeled nearby (like Video 1, Component 1 or HDMI1). Now find the "Source" or "Input" button on the TV remote (it can also be found on the TV) and set it to the input the Dish box is plugged into.

If you are using the Coax cable (the kind that screws on), go into the menu of the TV and run a "Channel Search/Scan". This will find the channel the Dish box needs to be set to on the TV.

Let me know if this doesn't work.

1080p tv stays in 480p mode

Resolution is a slave to the source. It sounds as though the source is only outputting 480p. Go through the menu settings of the source device(bluray, cable, satellite box, game system) and set it to output 1080.

HDMI 1 imput keeps jumping to TV input

I assume you are connecting a Dish Network receiver (model?) to your Sony TV with an HDMI cable. I also assume this happens daily. At a certain time (default 3AM but changeable) the Dish receiver (modern models) will reboot and the "screensaver" it normally outputs will be turned off for a minute or so. Some TVs, in obeying the rules for high definition connection (HDCP) will unlink their connection. Some are fussier than others and some will not automatically recover on power up. Since the Dish receiver must reboot to maintain its stability and then refresh its guide, you should be able to do this if the TV is turned off overnight.
If you still cannot get the connection maintained, I recommend that you connect with component cables--RGB+RW cables (the red-Y, the green Y=luminance, and blue-Y signals and audio right and left.) You may have to select a different input before turning the TV off, or maybe just changing source input will recover the one you want. I have no problems with my VIP722 receiver and my Samsung DLP TV. You might be able to get some more specific advice from the www.AVSforum.com message board for you TV.

Unable 2 watch dishtv in Benq LCD SD3731 with DVD cbl plugged in

The S_Video connection has precedence (most likely named AV1) over the RCA/composite one (better image quality - usually named AV2) so it will be automatically selected. If you want to view thru AV2 input you will have to select it manually every time you want it.
