I do not see any screws to remove the plastic to remove the broken water paddle.
We have a broken water paddle & have just ordered the part from Electrolux, but haven't been able to find any replacement instructions. Can anyone help us get the broken piece out and the new piece in? Thanks
Another question to this. My husband did replace it and pull it out. Now the water and ice will not come out the door or light up. Did you not hook up something right? Did he miss the electrical connector? he was so frustated after he finally got it back together that he hasnt tried again. The ice is still being made. any suggestions???Another question to this. Remove the bottom pan by pulling it out, then you will see three screws. remove the screws. Push the fram up which will unlatch it. The asbly will now come out. pull the water hose and the electrical connector, and you'll see the screws that hold the paddle.

On the bottom of the bezel around the dispenser you will find 2 very thin slots. You push in a flat blade pocket screw driver and pry it up then lift the bezel up and off. Now look at the switch. It should have one mounting screw and a plastic pin sticking through the other mounting hole in the switch body. I'll bet that pin is broken and the switch is not making contact with the dispenser paddle. If it is broken you'll have to order that back plate . there may be nothing wrong with the switch. If the plastic pin is there, then the switch is indeed bad.
It is usually due to a small piece of broken glass or plastic blocking
the little propellor that pumps the water out, (think of the little
paddle in Nemo's tank)
You need to remove the bottom of the machine, undo one screw and twist
the pump free, fairly easy, but make sure you turn the power off first.
The outlet hose and pump will then be accessible, have a look in and
turn the paddle with a screwdriver, bet you will find something
blocking it. Shake it out and reassemble
I understand you want to know how to replace the water dispenser paddle in your Electrolux refrigerator, model# E23CS786SS1. Typically, this is not a di it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They have been trained on your appliance and should be able to replace the dispenser paddle with ease. Hope this is helpful.

This is the part. You have to remove all the panels, The drum counter weights and finally the drum. Then you have to remove the inner drum from the plastic outer drum. Once removed you can get to the screws that hold the paddles in place. Then put it all back together. It may be easier to call a repair man in your area.
First photo shows paddle assembly that can be purchased you need to got to Sears web site to find part # other wise you will have to buy the whole circuit board assembly hundreds more than the paddle assembly. The circuit board and paddle assembly is removed buy removing screw on inside of door and pulling it out be careful it seems strange but it just pops out. The paddle assembly slides on to the circuit board assembly look close and take your time to slide it off I thought I was going to break mine but did not and save me big money.
Second photo shows tab for water dispensing still there.
Third photo show ice dispensing tab broken and missing.
If you leave the assembly plugged in press the micro switch for the ice dispenser and see if it works most likely the tab has broken and is what hits the switch telling the door to open and ice dispensing screw to push ice to the door. Hope this helps
All of you guys are wrong. What that person is saying is that the physical paddle used when you place your glass in the dispenser bay and press against the paddle....That's what's broken the paddle......
The left blade on a BD 2300 bread maker did not turn when neading the dough. I took it apart by removing the six screws in the bottom of the case and the screws inside around the bottom outer edges of the metal insert. I then removed the screws holding the motor assembly to the base. I found that the metal plate attached to the paddle shaft driven by the gear had torn through the plastic gear, and was no longer driving the paddle. I made a new plate with the end bent down 90 degrees so that it fitted into a slot in the plastic gear. This is much stronger and the breadmaker now works fine. This is a weakness in the design and the failure could occur on either paddle. failures of the left paddle could be due to the toothed belt breaking, this drives from the right paddle gear. There is also a belt between the motor and the left paddle gear.
be sure to unplug the refrigerator.
remove the drip tray by sliding it forward.. then remove two screws . slide the dispencer cover up two screw hold in the control remove water line two screws hold in water paddle. remove paddle and wire.
to replace water line use a long screw driver to push back into cover. make sure it extends bellow outlet..
