You must remove the batteries in the base unit, replace them, and it should work properly. You can press the Tx button on the back of the remote unit to verify the RF reception. To ensure it is working properly, place both units next to each other indoors and make sure they read the same temperature.
The manual can be found here. Refer to page 3 for more information.
I appreciate having the manual. However, my remote sensor keeps flashing -188.8E then 78.3, (which is now no longer synchronized to the base unit which is next to it) all the while flashing the red light, with a couple of other tiny indicators flashing in the upper and lower left corners I can't read. Every once in a while it beeps. I have tried removing and replacing the batteries as the manual describes, and clearing the channel and pressing the tx button. Otherwise the base unit seems to be working, but it is the base unit that is most important. Thanks for any help you can give!
OOPS - meant to say that it is the remote unit that is most important.
Well I'm terribly sorry, but that was the only solution I could find in the manual, as I don't own that particular model. I hope you can find your answer soon!
