How do I set inside unit to a correct time zone on an EnviraStation Model DWS-150A weather station?

Usually it is due to bad batteries or remote is too far away from home unit. Put units next to each other and press the channel button on front of the home unit. It will start a search to find the remote. If it finds it with a temp reading press the channel button again and you should hear a beep. Channel is locked in. If you still do not get a temp reading try changing batteries in both units and try again. Another try is to unplug the home unit and wait several minutes with no batteries in either house unit or remote. Replace batteries in remote then in house unit and plug back into power. Set all settings and see if you get the reading. If not try step one again. Weak batteries will do the same thing as well as remote to far away from unit.

Push and hold the "-" button on the main unit until "P" displays on the screen. You'll now set the time zone so the system can automatically set the clock. The screen will begin cycling between the time zones. Push the "Set" button when the correct time zone appears.

To set station Hold SET key down for 3 secs. Press SET key to select setting in this sequence. 1. Time Zone 2. 12/24hr format 3.Manual time setting HR/Min. 4. Calendar setting y/mm/dd 5.Temp display C or F 6.Air pressure display hPa or inHg 7.Relative pressure setting from 919.0hPa-1080.0hPa 8 Pressure threshold (sensitivity)Default 2 9.Storm threshold Default 4 10.Wind speed reading km/h, mph etc 11 Rainfall display in mm or inch. Use the + and History keys to adjust values (History key is - ) When replacing batteries Fit outside unit ones first then fit inside unit ones in that sequence so it can interpret the security code.

You must remove the batteries in the base unit, replace them, and it should work properly. You can press the Tx button on the back of the remote unit to verify the RF reception. To ensure it is working properly, place both units next to each other indoors and make sure they read the same temperature.

time zones in the U.S. (zone is displayed in the upper right hand corner of

P - Pacific Standard Time M - Mountain Standard Time
C - Central Standard Time E - Eastern Standard Tim

I keep the outside unit of our in/out set under a coffee can shaded under a bench; one could argue the aesthetics but shielding it from wind and sun is mandatory otherwise one can get record temps pretty often.
The outside units generally transmit to the receivers only every few minutes to keep battery consumption down so moving them won't necessary gie you an immediate change.
